The White Tube has the pleasure of inviting you to a new exhibition curated by Torpedo Press. The Opening will take place Friday the 28th of March at 19hrs.

Marie Buskov, Marius Engh and Anders Smebye have been invited to present each their project within the frames of a Fanzine. At TWT the fanzines will be presented in a broader sense, as an exhibition.

Historically the fanzine is a non-professional publication produced by fans of a particular cultural phenomenon for others who share their interest. It is cheap and easy to produce, representing a ”do-it-yourself” attitude and is usually distributed free of charge. The punk subculture made use of fanzines as a countercultural alternative to the established print media. Also artists have made use of the fanzine format, often to produce slightly more expensive editions or issues.

The exhibition at TWT marks the start of a series of fanzines to be produced through Torpedo Press. Artists will be invited to create each their own editions, unrestricted in content and in the shaping of.

In "Tell all the Truth, but tell it slant, Success in Circuit lie" Marie Buskov investigates the relationship between the photograph and space. Spacious photo collages combines and link different times and places. The collages are floating and three-dimensional. They consist of layers of space, places and different period of times that one has to move about and around.

Observations of supernatural phenomena are highlighted in Anders Smebye’s fanzine “ “ which consists of a text based on eyewitness accounts of encounters with the unknown. The accounts are collected from internet foras, cut up and reshuffled into a new psycho thriller about insanity and fear.
